BZ194 is a selective nicotinic acid-adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NAADP) antagonist that blocks NAADP-stimulated ryanodine binding to type 1 ryanodine receptor (RYR-1; IC50 ~10 uM against 1 uM NAADP). BZ194 inhibits Ca(2+) mobilization induced by NAADP (IC50 ~3 uM co-injected with 100 nM NAADP into Jurkat T cells), but not Ins(1,4,5)P3 or cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR), and exhibits no inhibitory potency against capacitative Ca(2+) entry.
