General description
Cytoplasmic dynein 1 intermediate chain 1 (UniProt: Q29RQ3; also known as Cytoplasmic dynein intermediate chain 1, Dynein intermediate chain 1, cytosolic, DH IC-1) is encoded by the DYNC1I1 gene (Gene ID: 613724) in bovine. Cytoplasmic dynein complexes are microtubules-associated retrograde transport motors. Cytoplasmic dynein 1 It is the more abundant motor in cells, while cytoplasmic dynein 2 takes part in intraflagellar transport. It is a multi-subunit complex of 1.5 MDa composed of a homodimer of heavy chains, two intermediate chains, light-intermediate chains, and light chains. The heavy chain homodimer acts as the dynein complex core and binds microtubules to enable ATP-dependent cytoplasmic dynein movement. The other dynein subunits associate as homodimers and play regulatory roles in maintaining the complex stability, modulating its activity, and mediating its interaction with accessory and cargo proteins. Cytoplasmic dynein 1 intermediate chain 1 acts as one of the several non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex that are involved in linking dynein to cargos and to adapter proteins that regulate dynein function. Application
Quality Control Testing
Evaluated by Western Blotting in HEK293 cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected Dynein in HEK293 cell lysate.
Tested Applications
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Dynein in A431 and PC12 cell lysate.
Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected Dynein in HeLa, HepG2, and NIH 3T3 cells.
Flow Cytometry Analysis: 0.1 μg from a representative lot detected Dynein in one million HeLa cells.

Clone 74.1 is a ZooMAb® mouse recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects cytoplasmic dynein.
Physical form
Purified recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
Preparation Note
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.
