General description
GNB2 encodes the β subunit of the heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide-binding protein. It modulates α subunits of the heterotrimer. It also regulates signaling receptors and effectors.
Rabbit anti-GNB2 antibody recognizes bovine, human, mouse, rat, zebrafish, and canine GNB2.

Application
Rabbit anti-GNB2 antibody is suitable for western blot applications at a concentration of 1μg/ml.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins), which integrate signals between receptors and effector proteins, are composed of an alpha, a beta, and a gamma subunit. These subunits are encoded by families of related genes. GNB2 is a beta subunit. Beta subunits are important regulators of alpha subunits, as well as of certain signal transduction receptors and effectors.Heterotrimeric guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins), which integrate signals between receptors and effector proteins, are composed of an alpha, a beta, and a gamma subunit. These subunits are encoded by families of related genes. This gene encodes a beta subunit. Beta subunits are important regulators of alpha subunits, as well as of certain signal transduction receptors and effectors.
