General description
CD8 (cluster of differentiation 8), is a dimeric protein, encoded by the CD8A gene mapped to human chromosome 2p12. Human soluble CD8 (sCD8) is produced by activated CD8+ T lymphocytes.

Application
The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 20 μL reagent / 100 μL of whole blood or 1e6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 mL) is sufficient for 100 tests.

CD8 (cluster of differentiation 8) acts as a vital co-receptor of cytotoxic T cells. Mutation in the gene has been associated with the development of respiratory infections.
