Application

Anti-RPS24 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Biochem/physiol Actions

RPS24 (ribosomal protein S24) gene encodes a component of the ribosomal 40S subunit. Ribosomes catalyze protein synthesis. The protein is a member of the S24E family of ribosomal proteins. Defects in this gene cause Diamond-Blackfan anemia that is characterized by macrocytic anemia, erythroblastopenia, and an increased risk of developing leukemia. It also disrupts ribosomal biogenesis and pre-rRNA maturation. The gene is localized to human chromosome 10q22-q23.
