General description
Calcyclin, also known as S100A6, is a calcium binding protein that is highly expressed in fibroblasts and epithelial cells. Inhibition of calcyclin by p53 is part of the mechanism to control cell proliferation. Calcyclin is associated with cancer and metastasis and plays a role in cell cycle regulation.

Material obtained from the National Cancer Institute’s Clinical Proteomic Technologies for Cancer (CPTC) program.
Application
Anti-Calcyclin Antibody, clone CPTC-Calcyclin-2 detects level of Calcyclin & has been published & validated for use in WB, ELISA, IH.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A previous lot was used by an independent laboratory in IH. (Tara Hitke, Developmental Studies Hybridoma Bank, University of Iowa.)
